I won't be labeled as average - Rachel Joy Scott

I have this theory
that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion,
then it will start a chain reaction of the same.
People will never know how far a little kindness can go.

Rachel Joy Scott

Columbine School Shooting - April 1999

Guns don't kill people - people kill people

While this is true, it does not change the fact that people who survive gun violence are left with deep rooted wounds both physical and mental. Places that were once safe are no longer safe. There is a long list of places that have been changed because of gun violence. Genocide, Homicides, suicide bombers. Is there hope for healing from such tragedy?

The action affects the entire family, friends and community intimately. It affects the nations and people's opinions of gun control on a global scale. Is there an answer?

Brain wash all evil thinking people to have a kind-heart and be compassionate like Rachel Joy Scott. That, unfortunately is not an option. We can only become better at being alert and on guard while continuing to live our lives.

It takes a specially skilled counselor to help families post gun-violence. We encourage everyone to seek help immediately. Even if you think you are tough and rugged and do not need it, Please talk with a professional at least three times to make sure you're really okay. Do not wait until after three months post trauma for the event has drastically altered your world on levels you may not understand while in the stage of shock.
